Senior Advisor at Energy Mentors International, Mr. Avgerinos advises corporate, government, and university clients worldwide on Energy Policy and Projects for low-to-zero carbon emissions, sustainability, pollution, climate change, clean and renewable energy resources, local jobs, economic growth, and other UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr. Avgerinos advises on business development for power generation, transportation, and industry projects and programs. He also lectures at universities on SDGs, energy policy and simulations, air/water pollution and impact on public health, environmental regulations, climate change, and renewable energy. He assists startup companies in cleantech energy incubator labs with energy technologies, business development, and staffing.
Mr. Avgerinos spent 31 years in the oil and gas industry. He was Partner and General Manager of LNG, Natural Gas, LPG, and Clean Energy consulting global practice at Poten & Partners. He was previously Senior Analyst at ExxonMobil for Manufacturing Analysis and Planning, and Senior Research Engineer at R&D laboratories in various Exxon facilities worldwide. Mr. Avgerinos holds an MBA from NYU Stern, an MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from NYU Tandon.
